Contemporary Films
Some 15 independent first-run foreign feature films, starring such international stars as Sandrine Kimberlain, Zabou Breitman, Ronit Elkabetz, Marta Etura and representing 12 countries, will make their premieres on U.S. soil at the Fourth Annual “Romance in a Can” Film Festival, presented in Puerto Rico and Miami, at indoor and outdoor venues.
The 7-day event – the only festival of romantic films in the U.S. – will also include a special homage to Marlene Dietrich will be given during the festival: “Blue evening” at the Miami Beach Cinematheque on February 14 th to celebrate Valentine’s night in Miami Beach. Special screenings about German Cinema during the course of the festival from April 30th - May 9th with the support of the German Consulate. and a short film competition for film students from Europe as well as local Puerto Rican and Miami universities and high schools.
